WELCOME TO ADDAMS ECC

Week of September 9, 2024

Another week under our belts! The students have adjusted well and getting comfortable with their teachers.

A few reminders as we quickly move through our first month of school.

  • When dropping off or picking up your students please do not crowd the doors. It is very overwhelming for young children to walk through a "tunnel" of unfamiliar adults to get to their family.
  • Royal Oak Schools has a strict "no dogs" policy on school grounds.
  • Please remember students are expected to be fully potty trained to attend preschool. We understand starting a new schedule or new schools can impact potty training. Please work hard at home and communicate with your classroom teacher so children have optimal success!

We appreciate all the effort the families are putting into Brightwheel and trying to get the process down. Signing in/out of Brightwheel is our way of legally documenting "transfer of care." Licensed programs are required to document who drops off and picks up students as well as the times. If your child attend Before Care or Friday Care, please be sure your Brightwheel is signed in at the correct room. The "homeroom" is your child's preschool classroom. On the Brightwheel app you can toggle between the classrooms your child is assigned to. If you are registered for Before/After/Friday Care these classroom are options on your child's profile.

Each Thursday the entire Addams Elementary and ECC dress up in themes! The theme will be shared in the weekly newsletter. This week's THEME THURSDAY is Monochromatic (dress in all one color!)

Upcoming Dates:

Sept. 17 -- Secure Mode Drill

Oct. 8 -- Fire Drill

Oct. 15 & 16 Picture Day (more information to come)

Thank you,

Mrs. Truesdell
